Edoardo Liberati, 27th December 1993, is an italian guitar player and composer.
He was born and grew up in Rome.
Music came into his life when he was in high school, starting to play with some rock bands.
Later on, he discovered jazz and he decided to study for becoming a professional musician, applying for the “pre-academic” program of the “Saint Louis College of Music” school in Rome, in the jazz department, studying with famous teachers as Umberto Fiorentino, Nico Stufano.
During this years he started to play in some jazz projects (from trio to big band), but still keeping an open mind to other projects of Rock and Pop music as “Compagnia Medebach”, with which he recorded some Eps.
He attended many jazz workshops all around Italy, as “Umbria Jazz”, “Orsara Jazz”, “Tuscia in Jazz”, studying with national and international teachers as Peter Bernstein, Fabio Zeppetella, Lucio Ferrara.
Currently he is based in Rotterdam since two years, attending the Bachelor program of the “Codarts” conservatory, studying with great international teachers as Ed Verhoeff, Ronald Schimtz, Bert Cools.
He started, in the winter of 2015, a jazz quartet called “Liberati Quartet”, where he is leading, composing and arranging. With this project he won the prestigious “Erasmus Jazz Prijs”, one of the best jazz competition in Holland and the most important in Rotterdam.
